Today’s New York Times contains this front page article on how Catholic women’s congregations are providing the country a good example of how to care for the elderly and dying.  The article’s author, Jane Gross, focuses on the Rochester Sisters of St. Joseph’s efforts to keep their elderly members out of hospitals, and how their mixed-use nursing facility allows the elderly instead to endure their final illnesses surrounded by the faith and friendship of their sisters.
